Travelling fills me with such bliss. Everything about it fulfils my wanderlust-ridden heart. From my collective travels, many consisting of 11-14 hour flights, with 8-16 hour layover times (hello extra adventure time!). This means for me personally, when it comes to beauty and travel I like to keep it simple.
In times of vigorous travel. Which has the tendency to leave me feeling moody and my sleeping pattern completely out of sync. Nothing can compensate the feeling of being comfortable and fresh (although food helps a lot!). Being prepared has essentially been my saving grace for these scenarios. As nothing feels better than having these small comforts and pleasures on deck. Especially when everything else around you can feel like a whirlwind.
So I’ve perfected my go-to holy grail travel beauty essentials. That are my lifesavers to help you look (and feel) more human less zombie!
Now here’s a breakdown of my travel beauty essentials I keep in my carry on:
-A lightweight BB cream
-A mini travel perfume
-A small collection of extra bobby pins and hair bands
-A travel size lipstick
-Deodorant and a bar of soap
Facial Beauty: (Left to right) Maybelliene New York Dream Fresh BB Cream, Cartier BAISER VOLE Perfume, Nature’s Care All Natural Paw Paw Lip Balm, Marc Jacobs Lip Creme in the colour 216 KISS KISS BANG BANG, Maybelliene New York Great Lash Waterproof Mascara.
BB Cream did you mean a girl’s best friend? BB cream’s have to be one of my favourite essentials as they are perfect for travel. As they simultaneously moisturise your skin while providing the perfect natural look. Not to mention giving you that back up coverage to hide those travel eye bags.
Flying usually makes my lips super dry. So my lip balm and lip creme are perfect for combating that with moisture and a perfect rosy tint. This Great Lash Mascara is a long time favourite of mine as it gives you, a perfect balance between major volume and length while having a natural appeal.
A travel size mini Cartier perfume? You had me hooked at travel size. I love perfumes simply, because I love to smell good 25/8! It’s the perfect size for a carry on and holds a subtle natural mist. What’s not to love?
Skincare: Vivienne Westwood Velvet Body Veil, La Maison De Senteurs Hand Cream
Skin moisturiser is not an absolute essential for me, so my Vivienne Westwood Body Veil and La Maison De Senteurs Hand Cream is the perfect solution for leaving your skin feeling oh-so soft!
Hygiene: Mitchum Women’s Roll On Deodorant, Dove Purely Pampering Shea Butter Soap.
Feeling fresh after a long travel journey makes the absolute world of a difference, so at any chance I can get to freshen up on a layover these products are my go-to!
Hair: Black bobby pins and Hair Bands
Travel typically leaves my hair like a *insert DJ Khaled’s voice* Lion. So it’s always super handy to have extra bobby pins and hair bands on deck.
