Isn’t it an incredible feeling when you step foot in a city, that you’ve never been and instantly feel at home? For me so far there have been only been three. Stunning Sydney is definitely one of them.
I love the charming classic Australian equilibrium that Sydney holds. Between buzzing city vibes to the laid back beach lifestyle.
A lesson I have learnt is to follow my bliss and travelling is one of them. Which makes me thankful for the gift of being able to travel so early in the year.
Here are a collection of my most recent travels to this warm and welcoming city.
STUNNING SYDNEY | WHERE I WENT: MANLYManly has some of the most breathtaking beaches I’ve ever been too and there’s some stiff competition ( in Australia alone). Walking around the town I quite quickly fell in love with this beautiful beach town (and the best tasting Acai bowl that came with it).The cherry on top by far had to be the ferry ride transport. That gives you a first class seat to Sydney’s most recognisable icons of the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Luna Park.
STUNNING SYDNEY | WHAT I SAW: BLUE MOUNTAINSOne of my daily adventures revolved around a 2 hour train journey out to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. Which is a dreamboat for a stellar scenery. As well as a nature lover’s paradise. That particular day was a scorcher. Which honestly kind of dampened my experience of the mountains because I’m not a fan of the heavy burning sun. However I did really enjoy the train journey,as it took you on a ride throughout of the heart of the suburbs leading out to the mountains. Which gave you a glimpse into local Sydney life.Overall Sydney just holds this special charm for me. Maybe it’s hidden in the similarities of British architecture and bustling city vibes. Which fondly reminds me of my home London, England. Or the beach life that I so dearly love.
All I know is that home is where the heart is. It’s safe to say that stunning Sydney has definitely stolen a piece of mine!
What city has a piece of your heart?
